There will be a limited number of documentary shorts available for free on the website, which Rolling Stone is developing in collaboration with nonfiction studio XTR and streaming service Documentary+. Five films have been distributed as part of the previously stated collaboration between the firms; these include an Oscar nominee from the previous year, a 2024 Tribeca debut, and several other forthcoming exclusives. The movies combine in-depth artist profiles with analysis of historical and current cultural events to explore music, politics, and other issues.
